Great Pond Mountain Wildlands - Orland, ME, USA

I’ve driven past the Great Pond Mountain Wildlands probably 30 times this year, and never noticed it until my sister suggested we go there for a little hike. Unfortunately, my knee was bothering me and she’s got some leg issues herself, so we couldn’t tackle Great Pond Mountain and all of its 1,000 foot high glory. Maybe next time.

We had some remarkable blue skies, despite a cloudy morning. There’s nothing better than when the day turns out to be fantastic!!

Halfway down, the photos change from the wildlands to Belfast. Jesse and I went on a little walk around the town to take advantage of the weather and lack of significant events. It was a nice change from the woods.
