Pitcher Pond - Lincolnville, ME, USA

I went kayaking instead of hiking today! Heather and I went out on Pitcher Pond in Lincolnville and paddled along for 4 1/2 miles, until we reached the connection between Pitcher and Knight’s pond. I didn’t take my Sony out, instead I took my Canon Powershot point and shoot since it’s smaller and easier to stuff in a fanny pack. Yes. I did utilize the services of a fanny pack. I’m really not ashamed.

While we were going, we saw a bald eagle! It was the first one I’d seen in Maine for a long time, so I was really excited! It soared over us for ten minutes before disappearing. I didn’t take any pictures of it because the zoom on the point and shoot isn’t extraordinary.
